, held in the beautiful historic Fred B. Johnson/Nokomis City Park in Downtown Nokomis.  The events feature live
entertainment, food, games, crafts and much more.  Let your eyes take in the beautifully restored historical park with the
stage - a magnificent two-story pagoda - as the centerpiece.  Let your ears take in the wonderful sounds of live music.  
This is an event for the entire family, so come on out, unwind and enjoy Downtown Nokomis!

International Ford Model A Day
Saturday, September 26, 2009- Gary Moore Trio
Nokomis will host the second, International Ford Model A Day anniversary
celebration on Saturday, September 26th at the Fred B. Johnson Park. Model
A’s will begin gathering in Downtown Nokomis about 9:45 am for a local
cruise at 10.  At 1 pm, the park will be lined with 1928-31 Ford Model A’s for
visitors near and far to get together, talk about their vehicles, their hobby and
reminisce about these amazing pieces of automotive history and the impact
that they had on the industry.  The Land of Lincoln A's, a Model A car club
from Sullivan, IL will meet for a their monthly meeting hosted by members,
Nathan & Dorothy Ruppert and Jack Michael's. There will be fun games,
including Model A “Driver Skills Games”.  Then, starting at 2:30 pm, the
Gary
Moore Trio
will perform live 1920 – 30’s era music to close out the afternoon.
Come step back into history and join the fun. Be sure to bring a camera!
Bring your lawn chairs and/or blankets
and join in on the fun!
